They say two heads are better than one and if KSR043 is any indication, they’re right. Klangscheiben boss Thomas Bäz teams up with Tino Bäz as Tbbros: brothers both in real life and in the studio, Thomas and Tino come together to produce Abjefahrn. The four-track EP starts off strong with “Kurbeln,” a glitchy, cranking number that builds quickly, its name as on point as its frantic beats. “Herumfuhrwerken” is an unfussy piece that pairs strange samples with a jaunty brass band-like riff. The EP’s title track gets suitably weird, dissolving into a hulking bassline and machine-like rhythms, driven into new territory with a shimmering remix from Alexander Nedelenko.
